Credibility builds up when you have walked the path. You have been there. You have been divorced, shattered, lost a job due to your PTSD, and your life has been turned upside down. You can’t talk about addictions, if you do not know obsessive and compulsive thoughts, self harm, and suicidal like imagining your death in every possible way (btw testify your funeral is a great mindfulness exercise by Anthony de Mello).
20 per cent of people struggle with PTSD in America. They are not just veterans, anyone who has been through traumatic events or / and childhood trauma or abusive environement, is likely to develop chronic pain and anxiety.
Storytelling is a magical way to help people with opening up. When you tell you have been there, the person you are talking to starts to open about his/her own experience and this process enhances healing. It’s a method used by health care professionals in their briefing when surgery operations turn out bad.

Lance is managing for getting more serious also on a deeper level with vets in the States. Will tell you more soon.
In the meantime, I appreciate your being HERE.
I hope your Sunday was GREAT as mine. I could finally meet one of my long lasting friends after a very long time. In Lance’s words, “check up on your buddies”. Personally, I don’t like to call friends, what I do …I like to share photos to be emotionally present. Sharing is caring.
